A Visit With Santa

We took the kids to see Santa Claus at the mall today. I think the pictures turned out well. So far, these are the top candidates for our Christmas card pictures... I had better make up my mind soon!

Family Pictures on the Beach

Two years ago when we went to Destin for Thanksgiving we took family pictures on the beach. We ended up using some of the pictures for our Christmas card that year. Here is one of those pictures...
This year I thought it would be a good idea to do the same thing. The pictures did not turn out nearly as well this year. It was extremely hazy by the time Emma's dad got her to us. I am not sure if I want to use any of these pics for cards this year or if I want to take different ones here. Here are the best pictures we took this year.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Destin Thanksgiving Part II

We went to the beach a little before lunch today. Robert was awake for a few minutes this time...

but quickly went to sleep. The water was pretty chilly.

Boys being boys... Robert doesn't stand a chance.

My Little Turkey

This onesie has to be the cutest thing I have seen in awhile. You can't see the "L" in the picture, but the onesie says "Little" beside the the turkey. I hate that Thanksgiving is almost over...

The Face

What can I say... I am in love with a face. After looking at these pictures, I hope you have some idea why... Although, I was never able to get pictures of the actual expressions I wanted to capture...

Destin Thanksgiving Part I

Will's parents have rented a beach house in Destin again this year for Thanksgiving. It has been really enjoyable this year, so far. We arrive earlier than we though Sunday afternoon, so Em was able to spend about an hour-and-a-half before her dad got here to pick her up.

Here are some pictures of Robert's first trip to the beach.

Emma Spight had fun watching the men feed the seagulls.

Emma Spight has had sooo much fun holding Robert. She, like Emma Lee, wants to hold him ALL the time...

Mabel continues to say how much Robert looks like Will...

More pictures to come...

Em's Thanksgiving Program

Emma's Thanksgiving Program at school was this past Friday. The first few pictures are kind of dark because I took them during the program. Our seats were far enough away from the stage that my flash didn't help. Also, we were seated in a corner and due to where Emma was placed on the stage, it was kind of hard to see her...

Here is a picture I borrowed from Ms. Nicole's blog of the whole class.

Emma's painting is the one above her head to the left.

This was the cutest project idea. Each child was supposed to disguise his or her own Tom Turkey.

Emma disguised her Tom Turkey as Sleeping Beauty. She came up with the idea all on her own. Check out "Our Kinder Corner" blog to see other turkeys from the class.

Sleeping Baby

Here are some pictures of Robert all "sacked out"...

and sprawled out.

These were especially cute to me because normally he will only sleep all wrapped up like this:

Emily was truly a lifesaver to bring these larger sized swaddlers to us. Man, I wish we had a Babies R Us here!!!

Robert and Flynn

Lane and Flynn are here from New Zealand. This picture was taken last Wednesday. They will be here until after Christmas, so I'm sure more pictures are to follow.

Pictures for the Australian Members of the Family

Here are some pictures of Robert with Aunt Betty and Uncle Tony. The pics are about a month old, but I am posting them because I don't think Aunt Betty and Uncle Tony got to see them before they left. Aunt Betty and Tony went back to Australia the last week in October, and these were taken about a week before they left.

Robert and Aunt Betty were having a great "conversation."

Uncle Tony is quite the "baby whisperer." He can quite his grandchildren when no one else can, and appears to have the same effect on Robert (not that Robert needs to be quited much)...

Mornings at Our House

Good mornings in our house start out looking like this:

And quickly look like this:

I have learned that things are much better if Robert "wakes" Emma up. She is in a much better mood this way, and since he is a "morning" baby, he doesn't seem to mind helping me out.

There is only one flaw to my plan; some mornings she doesn't want to let him go.

I would much rather our mornings look like this than the alternative, which consists of tears and raised voices...
